本課程分小說與散文兩部分授課，每一部分規劃若干單元。除指導學生認識小說與散文文學思潮和時代背景外，並選擇重要作家作品做介紹，俾使學生能有系統了解小說與散文之發展，且能賞析各類不同風格文學故事的意義。

The reading of this course are organized by two parts of Fiction and Prose, each part including several sections. Through careful reading of significant texts by important writers, our basic objects are (1)to understand literary criticism and history background of Fiction and Prose; (2) to become more knowledgeable about the development of Fiction and Prose; (3) to appreciate a variety of texts with different styles.
